Who we are
AnimeGym is run from Switzerland. For questions about your data, or to ask for a copy of it, write to contact@animegym.app.
What we keep, and why
Your account: your email and your password. The password is stored only in scrambled (hashed) form by our login provider; nobody can read it.
Your training: the answers you give to build a session, the sessions saved for you and any changes you make to them, the sets, reps, times and weights you log, your athletes' progress, the time zone of your first completed session (so a day counts as your day), and your settings (current athlete, units). We keep them to show your sessions, history and progress.
Payments: Stripe handles every payment. We never see your card. We keep the ids Stripe gives us for you and your subscription, what you have paid for, and your subscription's status and renewal date.
Without an account: a session you generate is saved with a scrambled (keyed hash) form of your IP address, never the address itself, and a cookie marks that this browser used its free try. Both limit free use.
Weekly programme answers
To build a weekly programme, we send your answers, including age, weight, height and any injuries or notes, to the AI model that composes it. We don't store these answers: only the finished programme is saved. Until it is built, they wait in your browser so a retry needs no retyping.
Who else handles it
Supabase stores our database and runs the login. Stripe takes payments. OpenRouter passes the answers you give to build a session or programme, never your email, to the AI model provider that composes it. Our hosting provider runs the site.
We don't sell your data and don't use it for advertising.
Cookies and browser storage
We use only what the site needs: login cookies, a cookie that tells the page header you are logged in, and the free-try cookie. Your browser also keeps the exercises you tick and the values you log until you finish a session, and pending programme answers. No tracking or advertising cookies.
How long we keep it
As long as you have an account. You can delete it at any time on the Account page: your account and everything in it are deleted at once, and any subscription is cancelled. Stripe keeps its records of your past payments for as long as accounting law requires (in Switzerland, 10 years).
Sessions generated without an account and never attached to one stay saved with only the scrambled IP address.
Your rights
You can see and change your email, password and units on the Account page, and delete your account there. You can also ask us to show, correct, delete or send you a copy of your data: write to contact@animegym.app.
If you think we handle your data wrongly, you can complain to a data protection authority: in Switzerland, the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC); in the EU, the authority of your country.
Your training, your responsibility
AnimeGym suggests general exercise. It is not medical, physiotherapy or nutrition advice, and it doesn't replace a doctor or a qualified coach. Sessions and programmes are composed by an AI model and checked against the level and equipment you give, but nobody reviews each one before you see it.
Check with a doctor or another health professional before you start if you have an injury or a health condition, are pregnant, or haven't trained in a long time. Stop if anything hurts, and get help if it doesn't go away.
You train at your own risk. As far as the law allows, we are not responsible for injuries, health problems or other harm that come from doing the exercises.
Security
We protect your data with care: connections are encrypted, and your data is reached only through our servers, never directly from the browser. Still, no online service can promise perfect security.
